The New Neighbor Interfaith Alliance (NNIA) joins the efforts and resources of Montgomery County faith communities to assist newly arrived refugees and immigrants to have healthy, productive and independent lives in Maryland.
NNIA assists local, newly resettled refugees, asylum seekers, and others we refer to as new neighbors. We embrace new neighbors referred to us by resettlement agencies contracted by the federal government, as well as local faith communities and individuals. NNIA joins together faith communities of all denominations as well as civic groups and individuals within Montgomery County. Both emergency and long support are provided, depending on individual circumstances.
Faith and civic organizations interested in learning more about NNIA may contact us at nnia.maryland@gmail.com. We can provide an introductory presentation on the mission of NNIA.
Visit our Resource Library which provides many documents to help you and your faith community in addressing the needs of our immigrant community.
